Precision automated assembly of automotive components
Ball joints are a critical component in auto part manufacturing, contributing significantly to vehicle handling characteristics and needing to withstand significant loads. For Tier 1 quality auto part manufacturing it is essential that these critical suspension components have identical and predictable characteristics.
The logical solution is to use automated assembly technologies to fully control all stages of the ball joint manufacturing process with high precision and easy quality control. Robotic assembly guarantees reliable and consistent results.
Repeatable
Quality
High Precision
Assembly
Our robotic ball joint line rapidly builds a complete ball joint ready for assembly into a finished suspension component with repeatable precision. From grease injection to cup assembly, every stage is closely monitored and precisely controlled.
In-line quality control systems carry out vital dimension and tolerance checks during the manufacturing cycle, rejecting any components that fall outside of the engineering specification. The result is a perfect ball joint, every time.

Solutions
Single Line
Manufacturing
We use scanning and sensor checks of parts in production to verify they continue to meet quality requirements as they proceed through manufacturing stages. Parts that fail to meet quality standards are automatically diverted to avoid wasted assembly time and resources.
Final quality inspection batch checks are made by our quality management team in our fully featured quality laboratory using 3D CMM to make sure that components are completely uniform with identical dimensions and performance characteristics.
