Publishing of the global Tier 1 automotive quality standard for OEM suspension components and other auto parts was transferred to the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) in 2016. The standard IATF 16949:2016 remains an ongoing partnership between ISO and the IATF due to the fact that IATF16949 builds on the ISO 9001 quality management standards.
